SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of complex construction projects in southern Tasmania.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic, close-knit team on a range of projects.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in a relevant role and a track record of successfully delivering quality outcomes.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards;
  • Manage all aspects of the lice cycle of the project, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement;
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to understand requirements, communicate progress and resolve any issues;
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management;
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement more efficient project management practices;
  • Mentor and develop junior project-management staff, sharing your expertise and fostering their professional growth.

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience (eight years or more) as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects;
  • Degree qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams
  • Proficiency in the use of project management software such as Procore, MS Project, Word and Excel and tools to plan, monitor and report on project progress
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety and quality with a deep understanding of construction industry regulations, specifications and best practice

PLANT OPERATORS 

We are looking for experienced plant operators for our southern team based in the Hobart area and our northern team in the Launceston region.

These full-time roles involve operating a variety of construction equipment including rollers, water carts and 10-yard trucks to support infrastructure projects across the region.

We are looking for someone with previous experience, ideally in civil construction.

What you will be doing:

  • Operate and maintain construction equipment such as rollers, watercarts and/or 10-yard trucks to high standards;
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and machinery on construction sites;
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on the equipment as required;
  • Work closely with the construction team to complete projects on time and to specification;
  • Follow all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant experience, ideally in the civil construction industry;
  • Valid licences to operate the required equipment;
  • Strong understanding of plant and machinery maintenance and repair;
  • Commitment to working safely and efficiently;
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

FINAL TRIM EXCAVATOR OPERATOR 

We are searching for an experienced final trim excavator operator to join the southern team, based in the Hobart area.

This full-time role will see you playing a crucial part in the successful delivery of civil construction projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Operate a final trim excavator to carry out detailed excavation and finishing work;
  • Ensure the excavator is properly maintained;
  • Liaise with the wider construction team to coordinate construction activities;
  • Follow all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures;
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve construction processes and techniques.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum five years' experience as a final trim excavator operator in the construction industry;
  • Proven ability to operate a final trim excavator skilfully and safely;
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations;
  • Relevant licences.
