South Arm Highway
Scope of Works:
Major upgrade of existing single-lane two-way undivided highway to dual-lane two-way divided highway in a high-density urban environment with an annual average of daily traffic of approximately 27,000 vehicles.
The project included:
- Planning and construction of side tracks
- New safety installations, including upgrade of intersection with installation of traffic lights and new turn lanes
- Wire rope safety barrier and W-beam barrier
- Street lights
- Dual-lane pavement construction over 165,000 m2
- Construction of integrated F-type barrier retaining wall
- Working around critical underground services including water and power
- Upgrade of critical underground water mains
- Relocation of existing services
- 160m3 of imported fill
- Stormwater detention basins and swale drain
