Scope of Works
The project’s most difficult area of pipelaying required the continual use of trench shields and dewatering pumps along the Montrose Bay Foreshore.
The steel pipeline was welded internally and externally and major connections at each end of the line were co-ordinated with Southern Water operations staff.
Close association with DIER and GCC regarding traffic management was continuous on the project which was completed one month ahead of schedule and on budget.
The project included:
- 9 road crossings
- 2 highway crossings
- 4 creek crossings
- Rail crossing
- New valve pit
